It isn’t a safe world out there.  I choose to celebrate beauty, brightness, and hope. But of course the world has many dark corners and people.  This editorial of Kerry Washington for The Edit May 2017 celebrates being fearless. So I started thinking about the concept of facing fears. I have (almost) two little ones now and want them to face the world courageously.  While I live in a very safe place now with low crime, I know that my kids will still face dangers as they go through life.  I can’t protect them forever.  But I can teach them to be strong, smart, and fearless.  It’s a worthy lesson for any of us to prepare ourselves and face our fears.  So I hope that few dangers await you.  But I also hope that you are fearless when you encounter them.

Have a lovely week!

I worry for my children, I’m not sure what kind of world they will grow up to live in. Like you I can only protect them so far and not forever so we are trying our best to teach them to be the best person they can be. lord knows the world need more love and compassion these days…

I especially love that navy & orange dress on her.
The world is a much darker place, than when I grew up. It’s truly sad! Lots of evil and vicious people. my mom taught me to be strong. You will do the same.

Kerry is in my top 5. She is just stunning…but on a more serious note…it is scary out there. We have to teach our kids the things we learned so much earlier. Stressful!
