I’m a sucker for glamour. I adore jeweled embellishments, voluminous ruffles, and an extra dose of sparkle. This editorial of Ruth Negga for Harper’s Bazaar December 2017 is pure, unadulterated glamour. I can easily imagine that this shoot took place in a chateau from the ornate wainscoting and vintage wallpaper. Of course, I don’t actually have the chance to be glam much though you can see the last time I attended a ball on my Instagram. I’m leading the busy mom life. Instead, I rock my casual chic outfits to kid’s pirate parties and bouncy castles. Ahh, #momlife
So I’m glad that I will actually get to get glam again like Ruth Negga in a few months. My husband finally agreed to attend a ball in a chateau with me. It will be a school reunion for me and we are also renting a house in the countryside with a few friends. Of course it will be a different experience since a few of us are bringing kids. But I’m also happy to have them see their parents get dressed up as well. It is lovely to transcend our ordinary lives once in a while. Go out there, create that beautiful illusion and have fun!

So Ruth Negga is one of my faves. I really have to go pick up this issue of Harper’s Bazaar. She’s just so stunning and more people need to put her in movies.
