Is being cool still cool? I saw this editorial of Zoe Kravitz for the Edit June 2017 and instantly thought that her vibe was so cool. Although I guess I wouldn’t expect anything less from someone with a rock star as a dad!
I’m sure there’s still pressure to fit into a certain standard or to be fashionable, athletic, or funny. But I’m also reminded of the end of “Mean Girls” when the clique broke apart and the girls were happy to forge their own paths. While the pressure to be cool still exists, I love seeing that there are more movements and encouragement for people to be more unique. More and more, individuals are taught to embrace themselves and their interests, associations, and characters. While there will always be things, fashions and people that are considered cool, let’s hope for many definitions of cool!

“is it still cool to be cool” haha such a great question!!!! i at least have totally given up on being cool and i don’t even try anymore. maybe it came with age, but you’re also right that society is much more diverse and open now. i’m all about what makes me happy and thats rarely to please someone else. as far as clothes and stuff, i don’t know what drives me but i definitely don’t care what other people think and its so great! i can’t even go with popular trends because i don’t even want to look like i’m trying to be cool! zoe is like a natural though
and thanks for the comment on the store stuff…yes x 1000 i miss the choice in america!!! (but just for this project!). i think i think the phrase “this would be so much easier in america” at least 100 times a day.
I am loving all of the outfits she is wearing! She looks so beautiful. She has her own style and she owns it.
