What was shopping like before the internet?
I love window shopping online. It is the perfect opportunity to see the latest styles while also tracking the retailers that carry the items and their current selling prices. I will save items to my carts as I mull over them/hope prices will drop. I just discovered Lyst and it takes an online wish list even further because it aggregates styles from many different retailers (e.g. the DVF Zarita that is sold at both Barney’s New York and Shopbop) and enables you to both save the items to your own Lyst and create public collections. It is pretty cool because it pulls from affordable retailers like ASOS and Shopbop while also including designer goodies from Luisa via Roma.
I love the Lyst option because it also alerts me of price drops (woohoo I don’t have to check the department store web sites constantly!) It is also cool to peek into the collections of anyone from Nina Garcia to blogger buddies.
Are you on Lyst? I’m ChicnCheapLiving here and would love to peek at your collection too. Let’s shop/drool together.
Tip: If you really want an item, search for it in Lyst across different stores. Then add the same item multiple times so that you can track the inventory and price across different websites.
Here are some fabulous items I’d love for the holidays (oh if Santa had a Barney’s gift card for me!) But I will diligently stalk and wait for my Lyst alert!
