Happy New Year and Fill in the Blanks for hope

January 1, 2010
Happy New Year lovelies!

And a sip of Moet for you too.

Don’t you love this glass?  No coaster required and so modern!  At $90, I think it could be a great investment.

Of course I have no sense of taste nor energy to even hold a champagne glass so I couldn’t partake in any bubbly.  But I live vicariously through you!

So there have been a lot of countdown, best of, and great moments for 2009.

But 2009 also had it’s share of bad moments we wouldn’t care to remember.  I know I had my doubts about every aspect of my life – personal, academic, and professional.  It’s a scary thing to think and wonder whether you really made the right decisions.

I think Gabby said it best when she said she’d still remember the good stuff and carry that with her into the New Year.   Resolutions can be tough to keep but it’s nice to have something to strive for.

After all New Year is renewal, rebirth, and hope for better things.  The whole blue moon thing around this time could also signify that it could be a really cool year.  Some folklore states that a full blue moon has a face and talks to those in its light.  Hmmm, weird but interesting.

I was inspired by Anna to really think about the positive and see what your thoughts were for the New Year.

So what do you hope for in the New Year?

What things made you hopeful last year and you wish to bring into the New Year?

I hope for some peace and stability (we may be moving 6000 miles again and I just want an answer!).  My husband and some really cool people in London made me hopeful about meeting and knowing really cool people.  I hope to meet some more really cool people (maybe some bloggers IRL?)  Well see you in Asia, London, or NYC then. 😉

    Happy New Year!

That is a lovely glass, but I think I’m unlikely ever to spend $90 on something I’ll almost certainly break!

    happy new year!
i still can’t believe its a new year yet-
and i know wat you are talking about.
big changes also got me thinking a lot about
decisions i have made for my life.
i still have a quite insecure feeling about everything
right now. thats weird because so not me. i am a pretty
optimistic person in general and love adventures and
changes. right now i am more a little bit scared.
the last year was just a bit too scary.
hope this new year will be great for all of us!!!
