We’re in Victoria now for a wedding and sharing the love with family. I’m hoping we get to visit Butchart Gardens this week. These lovely gardens are open year-long and have a variety of stunning foliage each season. The Japanese Garden is supposed to be the highlight of these autumn months and will be replete with brick and golden maples and chrysanthemums.
Most of all I’m happy to experience autumn – the earthy colors, rich smells of the fall bounty, and the cooler weather upon my normally sun-drenched skin. I’m so glad to truly experience the season’s sight, smells, and sounds.

I used to live in Alberta and then in Seattle and am mortified that I never made it to Butchart Gardens…guilty admission.
Fall is supposed to be just amazing there and I hope you take pictures. I live in Southern Cal now where fall is, well, a cooler version of summer.

I’ll bet the garden is beautiful right now – I hope you get to go! I love so much about Fall, but my favorite sight is the orange leaves crunching on the ground and seeing full moons on a crisp, clear night.

I love the smell of fall air. The smell of the air is so soothing and just reminds me of so many great things like family, Thanksgiving (it’s earlier here in Canada) fall lattes, leaves falling off the trees, warm boots and fireplaces. Ahhh!! so romantic and lovely 🙂
