Whenever I think about something metallic, I think about jewelry. I used to only wear silver toned jewelry but I’ve really started to love jewelry using different metals or mixed metals in recent years. I’ve also seen that metals don’t have to be restricted to accessories and can translate nicely into clothing as well, especially for the holidays (gone are those days of 80s gold lame dresses!) I also love how makeup as reflected in the eyes or mouth packs a shiny punch – how could I forget about the sensual look of lip gloss (it doesn’t just have to be for summer!)?
While we usually bring out the sparkle and shine for the holidays, this editorial reminded me how fun it could be to dress metallic and be bold and edgy any time!

I love gold and silver toned clothing, and I agree with you, it isn’t limited to just jewelry….I love the skirt in the first photo! I am a huge fan of Clarins and Clinique skincare. I like to use the turnaround renewal concentrate and clarins…I love their bright plus serum and moisturizer. I also highly suggest their hydraquench gel moisturizer! And for make-up I cannot live without pore perfecting primer from Nars…yup I am a VIB at Sephora…yikes….
