Fashion Inspiration: Leather accents in clothing inspired by Olivia Palermo

January 10, 2013

Olivia Palermo may or may not be a mean girl, but she definitely has great style.

I saw this picture of her outside Christian Dior during Paris Fashion Week and loved the modern feminine look here.  Leather/faux leather accents are a wonderful, edgy touch in clothing and are have been popping up in more styles lately.  One of my favorite dresses is a silk Hayden Harnett dress with leather straps – oh I wish they still made clothing!  It also goes to show that leather accents can be seen not only on jackets, but works well with dresses as well (especially in black).

I’ve actually never seen Olivia on The Hills or any where else besides fashion websites…I know she has brilliant style but I still don’t know why she’s famous, lol. Love number 3 in the first set and number 1 in the second.

Sam, I totally agree. She’s basically famous for having great clothing and was a NY celebutante. But she was a Mango spokesmodel recently as well. Either way I guess I’ll just admire her clothing 😉

I swear, this girl can do no wrong. If she’s wearing a trend, it’s immediately a “do”!

I am so obsessed with leather accents – it’s not even funny. And Olivia? J’adore her!

P.S. At the moment, some of my favorite ZOYA shades are Melodie, Meadow, Kimber, Rory, Robyn, Yara, Rica, and Tanzy. 😀

Olivia Palermo always has the best clothes! I love the feminine/leather mix and hope to add a few pieces to my wardrobe as well.

Great outfits! I think Olivia has great style but is it wrong that I think she’s a witch? I mean at least that is how she was portrayed on that MTV show.

Love her style but I never liked her… such a conundrum!

OP’s style sense is undeniably impeccable. I find pieces with leather accents so chic and easier to wear than full on leather.

Her outfit is SO PRETTY! I love the peplum leather jacket and how it meets the ruffles in her dress. Exquisite! I’ve got to pin this. hahaha

    I WANT that dress!

I’m loving this trend! I’ve added a few leather pieces to my wardrobe and recently added a jacket that has leather sleeves. Love it 🙂
