What do you think about Natalie Portman’s style?
How about Michelle Williams’ fashion sense?
I’ve always found both ladies to have elegant and beautiful style. I particularly love how Michelle Williams effortlessly mixes in vintage looking pieces from Chanel to Vera Wang to create timeless looks. Of course both ladies have great taste, but they also share a great stylist. Kate Young is the sartorial fairy godmother that seamlessly pulls together their red carpet looks. Now she is taking a different perspective on fashion by creating a line with Target.
I wasn’t sure what to think about this collection, especially since Prabal Gurung pieces are still in stores (I’m sure they will be on sale soon!) But I have to admit that this Luxing it on the Cheap (LOTC) collaboration has grown on me. There are a few LOTC pieces with just a little Hollywood edge like the black and white column dress and open back polka dot dress (the ruffles in back = major swoon moment!) They aren’t necessarily pieces I would expect from Target and definitely reflect Kate’s elegant, but youthful vibe.
The collection launches in store and online April 14 so look out for it online and in stores soon.

Well. I’m just going to say it. I don’t like this collection. It doesn’t look timeless, classy, or expensive.
Time to go check those clearance racks for prabal.
Lydia, I actually didn’t find any pieces from the Kate Young collection interesting before but I think there are a few edgy touches here and there that make it interesting. This is only after my second look though. I’m all about a good clearance rack find and hope i can come up with Prabal as well!
I do like some of the dresses, but I’ve been disappointed with the quality of Target’s past collection. Will have to see how they look in person 🙂
