Did you know these Lunar New Year’s superstitions:
– if you sleepiwith money on your bed the night before New Year begins (today) is supposed to bring you prosperity
– it is the last day to cut your hair for the New Year period was yesterday. Â Cutting it in the next month is bad luck
– if you wear something red, you will receive luck and good fortune
– when you clean your house, you clean out the clutter from the last year
We’re picking up my husband’s aunt at the airport today for a short stay. Â It’ll be nice to have family around now (because everything is closed here – woohoo public holiday!)

I was talking to a friend about this today and she said we are supposed to write wishes for the year on red pieces of paper, seal them in red envelopes and then burn them tonight. She just sat red envelopes on my desk about 15 minutes ago. 🙂
