Makeup, manicures, and muffins, oh my!
This trio tempted me to attend the Her World Out event at Tang’s Vivo City a few days ago (the first event of its kind). Each attendee received a goodie bag with beauty and tea samples; I received everything from Calvin Klein and Kenzo perfume samples to Body Shop Drops of Youth and Bio-Essence Bird’s Nest Collagen & Whitening sleeping mask (definitely something I expect in Asia). I’m always excited to try new beauty products and I’ll try and review a few of these products as well.
After I received my goodie bag and breakfast box from Cedele (mm quiche and muffin!), I headed over to check out a few stations set up for the event. There was a OPI manicure station, a Shiseido makeover station, and a photo wall booth where you could take a fun photo.
My manicure was looking a bit tired so I headed over to the OPI station. I really liked looking over the new OPI collections as well as taking my first look at all the collaborations with celebrities from Nicki Minaj to Miss Piggy. Unfortunately, something happened to the manicurists and only one remained. There were at least 30 people in front of me so that queing time would not have been a productive Saturday morning for me.
At least I still have lots of beauty goodies to sample now! I also love the idea of a makeup party. It would be easy to recreate this theme perhaps for a bridal shower (I took one of my best friends to the MAC counter at Henri Bendel for her shower weekend and we all loved getting pretty!)
What was the last fun event you attended in your city?
Sounds like so much fun! I would have been in heaven with the nail polish and Shisheido and all the pretty things. 🙂 But I probably dislike long lines more than I love nail polish, so totally understandable that you didn’t wait around. This inspires me to check out fun stuff going on in San Francisco. 🙂

Sounds like a fun event! Too bad about the manicure station, but those colors are pretty. I love Henri Bendel and cannot believe that we don’t have one here on the West Coast.
