Will it be a long, flowing maxi dress in a simple monotone shade? Or do you veer towards bright shades and patterns to parallel the bright days?
The new Marimekko Collection for Banana Republic certainly evoke fun, sunny days. The famous Finnish design house has created a few new designs for Banana Republic for the summer. The Kivet print with its medium and oversized classic polka dots may be calling my name. The Kivet print pants would effortlessly go from air conditioned offices to al fresco summer soirees.

I have to say… I like Marimekko as textiles, but am not sure their designs would be something I would typically wear. Of course there is always an exception to the rule as I do like the shorts!

The Kivet print definitely captures “Banana Republic” style. It looks like a lovely collection, I noticed several American brands–partnering with Scandinavian designers and collaborating more. Marimekko designed well for them. 🙂
