Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams
I miss meandering through the museums in London. The V&A was certainly one of my favorite museums to explore and will be hosting “Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams” February 2 2019 – July 14, 2019. This will be among the museum’s most extensive fashion designer installations. The exhibit will showcase over 70 years of designs and 500 objects. All of the clothing is handmade and the house’s famous designers from John Galliano to Raf Simmons and Maria Grazia Chiuri will be highlighted. It will also highlight Britain’s influence on the famous designer. The lucky star occasionally seen in Dior designs reference a star token he found just outside the British Embassy in Paris. The designer also shaped the look of royal family members including Princess Margaret. I’d love to see this exhibit and will post about it again when it is launched!
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…participating in a whirlwind of activities from good-bye parties to birthday parties and mini Halloween celebrations. Then we’re off to Vietnam! Since we’re bringing the kids and ever since we started traveling with them, I’ve become more relaxed about traveling. I aim for fewer activities and am SO thankful for kid’s clubs! We are also lucky to have help with the kids this trip so yay for that! Perhaps my husband and I can even sneak in a nice meal in Danang!
