Decor Thoughts: Too much?

April 24, 2012
Can you have too much of a good thing? I loved the explosion of colors and patterns in these pictures, but have to admit that there may be a little bit too many things going on in the pictures!  But they still make for some fun pictures!
I’m also dealing with a few too many balls in the air this week.  But stay tuned for a lovely beauty giveaway tomorrow (open worldwide!)  I may be a bit more brief in my posts over the next few weeks as I traipse across the world, get our house ready, and start my new job.  But I’ll still be by to visit and hope to use travel time as writing time!

Lovely pics! I think these make for splendid editorials and bits and pieces of it can inspire our own home decor ideas.

love this!! i agree that in reality it would probably most def be design overkill but i think for the photos it looks amazing especially the lovely contrast of the bright pillows against the stark brick wall!

I think it’s a little too much for me, though the balloons do make me happy! Good luck juggling everything this week 🙂

The balloons look like too much but the pillows make me feel like jumping into them!

The first shot is from a Lilly Allen video I believe (22?)

I say no. There’s no way you can have too many balloons or pillows! Or color for that matter. 🙂

Just right…for the picture at least. I know how you feel, I have so much to do that I have opted to do none of it and catch up on friends blogs. Busted. back to reality…

While it makes for neat pictures, I would hate to have that many throw pillows! Sometimes though, that picture is exactly what I think of design/decor blogs. They buy buy buy and have different EVERYTHING for every season and I can’t help but think of how wasteful it is. Oh well, to each his own right?

I think when we like something we want ‘too much’ off it … but personally after a while I get sick of it … and am always drawn to minimalist. I have learnt to start with less instead of the other way round 🙂
