I’ve always been a fan of unique photography styles. I award bonus points if it’s colorful and fun as well. Daniel Mercadante has a project called Rainbow Road in which he uses light trails or light painting to paint lovely rainbow colored roads. The bright roads emerge from doorways, burst from streams, and set a path through the forest. These photographs instantly put me in a better mood!
Otherwise, this weekend I am…
…starting to prepare for the little lady’s party in a few weeks. I usually make most of the food and we decided to throw the party in the morning this time so there is little time for prep and cooking that morning. I am going to test out and freeze a healthy chicken burger and am finalizing the rest of the menu. I try to make it a little simpler every year so I don’t go crazy in the days leading up the party. #partyplanningsuckssometimes

I’m working today and then I am off for 5 days which is pretty much unheard of in retail! So you can imagine how thrilled I am to be spending more time at home! No idea what we’re going to do yet but mabe a drive to the next town for some family time.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend 🙂 It was the little one’s birthday party yesterday so that was a lot of fun! Today is a quiet day to recover after that busy day and crazy week though, haha! We kept things simple with food but I still felt like I didn’t get a chance to sit down until later in the afternoon, even the simple meals require prep in advance or on the day.
