What are the best things about living in a house?

Space of course is the biggest feature that comes to mind. There is finally ample space for one to display his or her various collections (we have a friend with a sealed off room filled to the brim with collectible toys and books). There is also the possibility of outdoor space, or at least a peek into the outdoors. I wrote about my love for backyards before, but also love its sister space, the patio.

I looked up a few backyards for future inspiration and have determined that the perfect backyard encompasses:

I used to live in a house but I’ve recently moved to an apartment. I kind of miss the space and the huge garden, but I also love how relaxed and easy an apartment is 🙂

I’m like you Sharon! I have lived in an apartment for a few years now but miss the space and garden that comes with a house. An apartment really is so easy though!

I simply love a well designed patio. I think some forget that your outside space, is another room of your home… and looks best when decorated. Love all of these photos.
