I’m obsessed with being different.

Are you one to stick with the norm or are you happiest being completely different? I saw this editorial of Imaan Hammam & A$AP Rocky for US Vogue November 2018 and was struck by the vibes here. It’s certainly a different type of spread featuring a minimal desert background and landscape shots of the model and actor. I certainly appreciate and try to be different sometimes. I’ll try and find new and interesting recipes, unique places to visit, and try out new activities. In addition, I’m known for being different here because I’m always sporting a hat and dress. But that being said, I’m not obsessed with being different.
I definitely find comfort in things that are easy and popular. I don’t mind wearing a ruffled shirt if I enjoy it even if other people own the same shirt. If someone else has tried something, I also at least have one informed review of that product or service. So I’m actually content with following the flow sometimes too. I certainly like to strike a balance between sticking to the norm and venturing out and being a little different. Why obsess over being the same or different when you can just be yourself right?

these are brilliant, i love the flow!! i never ever want to go with the norm, it’s not me. i love being different, we’re all meant to be different, otherwise we would have been born the same. the sooner people love and accept their differences and who they are, the happier life would be. I am not obsessed with being different but being different is a part of my heritages so I accept it, appreciate it and embrace it. This editorial is beautifully shot, even though I am not a fan of his to be honest. The dancelike poses are very artful. /Madison
