Each man reads his own meaning into New York.Ā

It’s interesting being from a place that evokes so many different meanings in other people – for some it evokes a feel of excited, bustling people in a cavernous city of bankers, lawyers, and fashionistas. Ā For others, it is a place that houses skyscrapers, shows, and lounges to house and amuse residents that never sleep.
When I think of my native home, I also recall lines of towering buildings as a natural part of the vista. Ā I marvel at the wonderful sample sales and proximity to fashion and am grateful for theĀ easy access to exhibits and museums like the Alexander McQueen “Savage Beauty” one featured above (I definitely hope to go!) Ā Most importantly, I know it as a place where dreams are born or pursued. Ā Around every street corner and in every apartment is someone with a dream, a story, and possibly a hunger to be or do more; this certainly contributes to the almost tangible energy I feel here that I don’t necessarily feel in all cities. Ā I know that some of the people I met there (including of course my husband) have added to the significance of NYC for me.
While I’m only in NYC intermittently these days, it will always be my home and where my story began and that means the world to me.

NYC is definitely an amazing place to be & I love the different neighborhoods. I’m also so glad to be back home here <3
NYC is beautiful..I went there as a teenager and was amazed by it. Being from a very small town in America, everything there was so much different and open. Beautiful buildings, interesting faces. I can still remember it all even now, I hope to see it again one day!! But Europe (my home now) is settling me for the moment š Have a great Monday!! xx

Oh, I adore NYC and would move there in an instant. My husband on the other hand HATES it. How can you hate NYC?!? Guess I’ll just continue daydreaming with these images š

Ah I really have to visit NYC someday! I think that vibrancy and energy would be the most exciting thing about it! It’s always so fascinating to wonder about other people’s lives who live right next to you š

Ah NYC is so great. I’m happy that i’ve always lived in close proximity to it, but I’ve never really lived there, never even spent the night oddly enough. hopefully someday!
